More Than Classes
Homeschooling works better together. At Anchor, you will find families who understand the journey and are ready to walk alongside you.
Relationships happen in the margins
While students are in class, parents gather in common areas for conversation, prayer, and mutual support.
Shared mealtime is sacred. Families eat together, creating space for kids and parents to build friendships naturally.
Field trips, park days, moms' nights, and family gatherings extend community beyond our weekly rhythm.
Anchor is a co-op, not a drop-off program. We believe parents bring essential wisdom, and their involvement shapes our culture.
Every family contributes in ways that fit their season and strengths. We work together to make Tuesdays run smoothly.
Milestones that mark our year together
We kick off the year with a family picnic before classes begin. New families meet returning families, and excitement builds for the semester ahead.
A festive gathering with student performances, potluck dinner, and time to celebrate the season together as a community.
Students present what they have learned through displays, performances, and demonstrations. Families celebrate growth together.
Museums, nature centers, service projects, and park days. These optional outings deepen friendships outside of Tuesdays.
Room for connection throughout the morning
Our main parent gathering space with coffee, comfortable seating, and room for conversation and prayer.
Quiet space for reading, curriculum planning, or catching up on work while staying on-site.
A space for nursing moms and little ones who are not yet in classes. Parents rotate supervision.
Real experiences from the Anchor community
We came for the classes, but we stayed for the community. My kids have found their people, and I have found mine. Tuesday mornings with other homeschool moms keep me going through the week.
As a new homeschooler, I was nervous about finding my place. The families here welcomed us immediately. My daughter went from dreading Tuesdays to asking when she can see her friends again.
The parent involvement was intimidating at first, but now I cannot imagine it any other way. I know my children's teachers. I know their friends' parents. We are truly in this together.
Anchor gives us the structure we need and the flexibility we want. My kids love their teachers, and I love having other adults who understand the homeschool journey to talk with.
The best way to experience our community is to visit. Come see what Tuesdays look like, meet our families, and discover if Anchor is the right fit for yours.
