Parent Involvement

Cooperative education requires cooperative effort

What to Expect

  • Parents remain on-site during co-op hours
  • Each family contributes through volunteer roles
  • Responsibilities may include assisting, setup, reset, or coordination
  • Volunteer schedules align with family capacity and co-op needs
  • Reliability is essential. Missed commitments impact the entire community

Specific volunteer requirements, scheduling procedures, and coverage policies are detailed in the full guidelines provided upon enrollment.

Health & Safety

Creating a secure environment for all families

Our Approach

  • Background checks required for all adults serving in leadership or teaching roles
  • Parents manage their children's medical needs and medications
  • Basic first aid available. Emergency services contacted when needed
  • Children with serious food allergies require parent monitoring during meals
  • Sick children should remain home

Medical consent forms, emergency authorization, and health policies are provided during registration.

Student Expectations

Respect, responsibility, and readiness to learn

Classroom Culture

  • Students arrive prepared with necessary supplies
  • Respect shown to teachers, volunteers, and peers
  • Device use limited to teacher-approved educational purposes
  • Students clean up after themselves and take responsibility for belongings
  • Behavioral concerns addressed through parent partnership

Specific supply lists, dress code, and conduct policies are distributed at the start of each semester.

Operations

The practical details of our Tuesday rhythm

How We Function

  • Co-op meets Tuesdays, 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
  • Doors open for arrival at a designated time communicated each semester
  • Parents sign students in and out at the designated area
  • Facility care is a shared responsibility. Damage caused by families must be addressed
  • Registration fees and class costs are non-refundable

Complete operational guidelines, including arrival procedures, facility use, and financial policies, are available to enrolled families.

Complete Guidelines

The summary above covers our core principles. Enrolled families receive detailed policies covering volunteer agreements, medical authorizations, liability waivers, and complete operational procedures.

Prospective families are welcome to review full policies before committing.
